JOSEPHINE GOH HUI LING

LL.B (Hons) MMU

JOSEPHINE was admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in December 2020. She completed her pupillage with Messrs. Cheng Leng & Partners (Petaling Jaya) and was subsequently retained as a Legal Associate. During this initial phase, she built a strong foundation in conveyancing, debt recovery litigation, and non-contentious estate administration.

Seeking to deepen her expertise in large-scale property development, Josephine joined Messrs. Khaw & Partners in January 2023, where she focused on housing project transactions for the developer Gamuda. She later moved to Messrs. Koh Gan Lian & Teoh to further broaden her practice.

Leveraging her extensive experience in real estate—spanning individual homeowners to major corporate clients—Josephine was offered a partnership at Messrs. Joseph, Vinci & Leong in 2026. In her current role, she heads the firm’s Conveyancing and Banking departments.

Josephine specializes in the full spectrum of property transactions, including the preparation of Sale and Purchase Agreements for acquisition and disposal of residential, agricultural, industrial, and commercial land (by sub-sales, gifts, trust or power of attorney for individuals, foreigners, and corporations). Her work also includes the perfection of transfers and charges, discharge of charges, and reassignments (retail and commercial). Perfection of transfer and/or charge after issue of individual/strata title, discharge of charge and reassignment (both retail and commercial).

She advises on retail and commercial financing agreements, drawdown of facilities (both conventional and Islamic facilities), ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements,  manages non-contentious applications for Grants of Probate and Letters of Administration from the Court and Land Authority. Thereafter transmission and transfer of estate properties,  drafts, negotiates, and reviews a wide range of legal documents, including Last Wills, and Tenancy agreements, while also handling applications for consents, replacement land titles, and plans.

Josephine believes that effective conveyancing requires more than just templates and not “one-size-fits-all” approach. She prides herself on crafting creative, effective legal strategies tailored to the unique needs of each client.

Beyond her practice, she actively engages with the public through conveyancing and estate planning talks. She has also held leadership positions in various NGOs, including the MMU Buddhist Society, Young Buddhist Association of Malaysia, and Bodhi Buddhist Fellowship of Malaysia.
